Fotonow CIC, a not-for-profit organisation, is running a Crowdfunder campaign for its Crescent Women+ Photography project. This initiative provides a safe and supportive space for women to learn, create, and share their personal stories through the medium of photography. The campaign’s goal is to raise £12,500 to unlock crucial matching funds from Plymouth City Council’s ‘City Change Fund’. This arrangement means that every pound donated will be doubled, effectively extending the reach and impact of each contribution. The organisation states that reaching this target is vital to securing the project’s future and ensuring it can continue to build on its success and social impact within the community.
According to Fotonow, the funds will be used to ensure the continuation and growth of the project, which aims to give participants the skills and platform to share their voices. The Crowdfunder page offers a range of rewards for donors, including sponsorship opportunities for workshops and exhibitions, as well as unique photography experiences tailored to a variety of interests. Businesses that donate £500 or more will also receive a 10% discount on future photography or film commissions with Fotonow.
