A Strong Season for Plymouth Pavilions as Summer Line-Up Builds Momentum

Plymouth Pavilions is heading into summer with a clear message: live entertainment in the city is thriving.

What’s On at Plymouth Pavilions – Summer Highlights:

• Devon Tattoo Convention – 31 May & 1 June
  Tattoo artists, traders, and enthusiasts from across the UK gather for a weekend of creativity and ink culture.
• An Evening with Guenther Steiner – 4 June
  The former Formula 1 team principal shares stories and insights from a decade at the top of motorsport.
• Tim Minchin Live – 7 & 8 June
  The comedian, musician, and writer brings two nights of sharp wit and musical brilliance to the Pavilions.

Following a packed spring programme, the venue has continued to attract major national acts while offering a varied line-up for local audiences. A highlight came on 7 May, when acclaimed electronic duo Chase & Status performed to a sold-out crowd.

Known for their high-energy drum and bass sets, the pair delivered a show that many in attendance have called one of the best the venue has hosted in recent memory.

As the city’s largest dedicated entertainment venue, Plymouth Pavilions plays a key role in bringing touring acts to the South West, something that’s reflected in the diverse programme announced for the coming weeks.

On 31 May and 1 June, the Devon Tattoo Convention returns, with artists and traders from across the UK taking over the venue for a weekend celebrating tattoo culture and creativity.

Motorsport fans will also have a rare opportunity on 4 June to hear from former Formula 1 team principal Guenther Steiner. Known for his straight-talking style and behind-the-scenes presence on the Netflix series Drive to Survive, Steiner’s live Q&A event is expected to appeal to a growing F1 audience.

Rounding out the early summer programme is award-winning comedian and musician Tim Minchin, who brings his live show to the city for two nights on 7 and 8 June. His performances often blend humour, music and social commentary, with tickets in high demand.

For many in the region, Plymouth Pavilions remains a key part of the city’s cultural offering. With a capacity of up to 4,000 and a schedule that spans music, comedy, exhibitions and live talks, the venue continues to serve a broad and changing audience.
