A group of four Plymouth artists, Rosie Cunningham, Sheron King, Grant Wallace and Jillian Morris have come together to form Plymouth Artists Collective – and they are hoping more artists will join them.
They are staging their first collective exhibition at the Cells Gallery in Devonport Guildhall in June.
All the work displayed together with cards and gifts will be available to purchase.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday June 12 to Saturday June 23 and will showcase paintings, textiles, ceramics and jewellery. All the work displayed together with cards and gifts will be available to purchase.
The exhibition is open daily from Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and will be attended by one of the artists on each of the days.
The Plymouth Artists Collective is the brainchild of Rosie Cunningham who wanted to provide a platform for Plymouth artists to exhibit their work, network, open their studios as a collective event and share ideas and contacts.

“The exhibition in the Cells at Devonport Guildhall is our inaugural event and the meet the artists event on the June 15 is designed to both sell our art and encourage other artists to join us.
“By putting on collective events we aim to promote a diverse range of arts for all tastes.”
Jillian Morris is a textiles artist whose work is inspired by the moors, seas and gardens. Most of her work is hand woven or mixed media textiles, sometimes using hand-dyed threads, and introducing techniques such as stitch and coiling. She makes a variety of items, from the more traditional woven scarves and wall hangings, to woven and embellished vessels, and small woven tapestries.
Designer maker, Sheron King specialises in creating beautiful one off pieces and small collections using upcycled textiles, mixed media and ceramics.
