Residents are being invited to have their say on plans for a new Aldi food store in Plymstock, as a public consultation gets underway.
The proposed store would be built off Encombe Street within Persimmon’s Saltram Meadow development, close to the new Main Square. Aldi says the scheme would represent an £8 million investment in the area and could create around 40 new local jobs, paid above the National Living Wage.
Plans include 112 parking spaces, with accessible and parent and child bays, as well as four electric vehicle charging points. Landscaping is also proposed around the site, with measures aimed at improving the look of the area and supporting biodiversity.
Aldi says the consultation is an opportunity for the local community to review the plans and share feedback before proposals are finalised.
The consultation runs from 5 to 19 February 2026. Residents can view the proposals and submit comments online, or request printed information if needed.
