Southway-based Schneider Electric Controls UK Ltd is recruiting over 20 manufacturing and support staff, as part of an expansion programme.
Production capacity at the Southway Drive site is set to increase by 15 per cent, with a significant investment in advanced manufacturing technology, and new roles being created in assembly, maintenance, quality and warehousing.
Part of one of the world’s leading technology groups, Schneider Electric Controls UK Ltd supplies heating control and energy management products. Growth is being driven by increased European and UK demand for underfloor heating controls, plus the success of the company’s new smart heating control system Wiser, launched under the Drayton brand in autumn 2017.

Schneider Electric Controls UK Ltd currently employs over 200 staff in Plymouth, where controls have been manufactured under the Drayton and Eberle brands for over 50 years. The Wiser smart heating system from Drayton is one of the company’s newest innovations, offering room-to-room heating control via an easy-to-use app and award-winning radiator thermostats, designed and engineered in Plymouth.
