A new pop-up event space has opened its doors at Sherford, launching with a Tour of Britain race retrospective exhibition, before announcing a line-up of family events taking place this autumn and winter.
The brand-new Sherford Event Space – located within the Linden Homes sales complex on Hercules Road – and has events planned for adults, children and families.
Its inaugural event took place in October, celebrating the first anniversary of Sherford hosting the Tour of Britain race last year. The exhibition attracted visitors from far and wide to view a photography display, get up close to signed memorabilia, contribute to a Memory Wall, and take part in cycle-themed crafts.
A packed line-up of fun and fascinating workshops and drop-in activities have been announced for the Event Space. These will be open to all including those visiting Sherford for the first time, members of the wider local community, and Sherford residents.
The events programme features a Creative Club with free drop in activities for children. These include Scrap Club on November 12 from 10am to 2pm and Christmas Crafts on December 3 from 1pm to 4pm and December 10 from 10am to 2pm.
Workshops to learn skills from the best local artists and makers, in a relaxed and friendly environment will also be taking pace in the Event Space. From art classes and jewellery making, to crafting festive treats and gifts including bath bombs and scrubs. Sessions are open for bookings now and for details visit DestinationSherford on Facebook.
