Seas Your Future, the youth development charity, is excited to announce an Open Deck event aboard the tall ship Pelican of London at Trinity Pier, Plymouth, on September 21st from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The public is invited to come aboard and explore this remarkable vessel.
The Pelican of London is owned by Seas Your Future (www.seasyourfuture.org), a charity dedicated to offering young people sail training, maritime career opportunities, and ocean science voyages to foster personal growth and character development.
The event is being hosted with the support of Associated British Ports (ABP), who will be welcoming the tall ship to their Trinity Pier at Millbay Docks.
Adrian Buss, ABP’s Operations Manager in Plymouth, expressed his excitement, stating:
“ABP is excited to welcome the Pelican of London alongside Trinity Pier on the 20th of September 2024. ABP takes pride in supporting visits from ships of this nature that foster training and development of young people and others in maritime skills.
We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Pelican of London while she’s berthed at ABP’s Trinity Pier.”
Adrian Ragbourne, CEO of Seas Your Future, also commented:
“We are pleased to be sailing into Plymouth after a nine-day STEM at sea voyage with youngsters from the Devon area.
The public is welcome to climb aboard our tall ship Pelican on Saturday the 21st of September, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, for open deck visits and to learn more about the work that we do.”
Visitors will have the chance to meet the crew, learn about the charity’s various programs, and experience life on a tall ship.
This event offers a unique insight into how Seas Your Future is helping to shape future generations through sailing and ocean exploration.
