A flexible workspace company founded in Plymouth has secured £6m in new investment to fund its expansion into major UK cities.
BLOCK Workspace, which launched at Royal William Yard in 2021, has grown rapidly across the South West, with sites now operating in Exeter, Taunton and Bristol.
The funding, from Gent Family Investment Company and Isca Ventures, will support the company’s move onto the national stage, with new flagship locations planned in Manchester and Birmingham in 2026.
The Manchester site will be based at Sunlight House, while the Birmingham workspace will open at One Colmore Square, with launches expected in spring and summer.
BLOCK says the investment marks a significant milestone for the business, which has built its reputation on flexible office and coworking spaces aimed at growing businesses.
Founder and chief executive Ben Cheriton said the company was now focused on delivering multiple new openings while continuing to grow beyond the South West.
The business reports strong demand across its existing locations, with sites reaching full occupancy shortly after opening.
Founded in Devon, BLOCK is one of a growing number of regional workspace operators expanding beyond their original markets as demand for flexible working space continues to rise across UK cities.
