Stoke Village Fun Day at Blockhouse Park is back with all its bells and whistles on Sunday July 21 from 11am to 4pm.

Devonport Road will be partly closed, and Blockhouse Park will be packed with stalls and entertainment for the entire family. One of the highlights of the Stoke Village Fun Day will be the Dog Show, organised by Gables.

Furry friends of all shapes and sizes will strut their stuff in a display of charm and charisma. From best in show to the cutest puppy, the judges will crown the canine champions of the day, leaving tails wagging and hearts melting.

Visitors looking for summer inspiration will enjoy the Stoke fashion show with hair and make up from Black Orchid, nails by Kelly Shelton Nails, clothes by Cancer Research UK and flowers from Flower Fayre – a real local collaboration!

Stoke Fun Day proves another big success

The event will feature plenty of live music with performances including Blasé Blues, Modern Life, Plymouth Ukele Band and much more. There will also be an opportunity for the crowd to join in with dancing with Dartmoor Border Morris Dancers.

The day will end with Kernow Samba who will get everyone dancing and joining in a parade through the streets waving banners made by members of the community.

Stoke’s local pubs and cafés will be spilling out into the street to provide a wide range of food enabling visitors to sit and soak up the atmosphere. There will be plenty of inflatable fun for the youngsters as well as the opportunity to get creative with free arts sessions.

The event is being paid through a collaboration of the Village Hub, Diverse Events and donations by members of the local community. Any funds raised from the raffle and bucket collection from the event will go towards continuing the work at The Village Hub and allow the event to be repeated gain in 2025.
