James Sanders at Sanders Secure has been keeping homes and businesses across Plymouth safe for years, but it’s what they’re doing outside work hours, supporting the community that’s particularly noteworthy.
James Sanders, owner of an independent plymouth based security specialist Sanders Secure has been quietly helping some of Plymouth’s most essential community groups, from Scout troops to sports clubs.
Sanders Secure is one of over 6,300 enterprises that form the backbone of Plymouth’s economy. In fact, like many businesses in the UK, a large majority of these are small, independent operations that are deeply embedded in the community, and their contributions go far beyond just providing jobs.
Helping to Keep the Scouts Safe
When the 35th Plymouth Cubs and Scouts needed help with their hall, James stepped up, utilising the skills and expertise from his business Sanders Secure, he carried out a full safety inspection by checking alarms, lighting and fire systems, all free of charge.
In a comment James said:

Supporting Families at YMCA Plymouth
Over at YMCA Plymouth, James helped launch the new Ocean City Soft Play area, a bright, sea-themed play space designed especially for under-sevens.
It’s more than just sponsorship. The backing James provides helps the YMCA run inclusive sessions, giving families of all backgrounds a safe and affordable place to play.
And if you’ve been to the YMCA’s sports ground lately, you’ll spot the Sanders Secure name on a new pitch-side board, proudly backing community sport.

James recently announced his sponsorship of Aidan Warne, striker for Plymouth Parkway Football Club, for the 2025/26 season.
James said:
