One of Plympton’s most well-known and recognised cats has passed away. Known by a variety of names the famous tortoiseshell was frequently seen in St Mary’s churchyard in Plympton where sightings of her gave comfort to so many.
Concerns over impact of new development of 500 homes
Concerns have been expressed after news that Plymouth City Council is spearheading the construction of a huge new housing development on land off Stoggy Lane in Plympton. This land which is geographically in the South Hams is owned by Plymouth City Council and would see 500 modern, energy efficient homes built, of which 150 will be affordable.
