Seth Lakeman Previews The Granite Way at the Reopening of Marjon’s Quad Theatre
Plymouth’s cultural scene took a significant step forward as the Quad Theatre at Plymouth Marjon University reopened its doors, marking a new chapter in its history. The occasion was made even more significant by a special preview performance from acclaimed folk musician and songwriter Seth Lakeman, who offered an exclusive glimpse into his forthcoming album, The Granite Way.
Seth Lakeman, whose music is deeply rooted in the landscapes and histories of the South West, performed tracks from the new album to an audience of invited guests before taking to the stage for a full evening concert.
Accompanied by Alex Hart, a British singer-songwriter and musician from Devon for a duet, his set captured the evocative storytelling and rich instrumentation that have become his signature and his performance at the Quad Theatre.
The Quad Theatre, located in Plymouth’s northern quarter, is now under a new partnership between Plymouth Marjon University and Barbican Theatre Plymouth.
