Plympton strongman Steve Swatton has announced his next fundraising challenge. Steve, who owns the Flex Fitness Gym in Valley Road, has become renowned for his fundraising challenges.
Earlier this year he lay on a bed of nails for an hour to raise money for charity. Previously he has done things such as pushing a man around Burrator in a wheelbarrow, carry a tractor tyre across St Mary’s Park and he has even pulled a double decker bus across the car park at the George Junction Park and Ride as shown in this picture.
Now he has raised the stakes even further by announcing his intention to pull a train! His attempt to do so will take place at the Plym Valley Railway at 11am on July 8 and sponsorship monies raised will be donated to Jeremiah’s Journey. Anyone wishing to offer sponsorship can do so by coming along to the challenge on July 8 or popping in before then to the Flex Fitness Gym in Valley Road.
