Unique Mobility’s flagship store in Plymouth has recently undergone an expansion and impressive refit and the new improved showroom was officially opened on 23rd April by well-known local Marines veteran, Invictus games Athlete and inspirational speaker Mark Ormrod MBE who has also recently become a Motability Scheme Ambassador.

Local veteran led wheelchair rugby team, The Endeavour Punishers, who are sponsored by Unique Mobility, were also in attendance to support the launch and gave a demonstration of their impressive skills. Unique Mobility have sponsored the team for the past three years and have referred customers, interested in getting involved in accessible sports, to the Endeavours. The organisation has a long history of supporting those with disabilities within the local community to access sporting activities including rugby, cycling and sailing.

The event was well supported by the local community as well as occupational therapists and physiotherapists, with customers having an opportunity to try out the extensive range of mobility scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs and adjustable furniture on offer.

Unique Mobility’s Plymouth Store has been open since 2015 but having taken on an additional unit to house their engineering workshop facility, they have been able to expand the showroom and created a bright and relaxing space for customers to experience all the mobility products on offer. Prescriptive mobility product offerings are also showcased at the showroom, with powerchairs for all requirements and budgets available for visitors to try, and expert advice on hand from Unique Mobility’s expert product specialists.
