Plymouth Gladiators team manager Garry May says planning for the 2026 season began as early as September, with reliability and balance the key priorities in shaping this year’s side.
Speaking ahead of the new campaign, May confirmed the club targeted experienced leadership in its recruitment, bringing in Danny King and Scott Nicholls to strengthen the line-up. Fan favourite Ben Barker also returns, alongside riders who have previously delivered strong performances at the Coliseum.
May said availability was a factor in this year’s planning after challenges last season and stressed the importance of building a settled team capable of competing consistently.
The club’s aim for the season is to win strongly at home and secure a place in the play-offs across all competitions.
